A New Direction for Southeast MX

A New Direction for S.E. Motocross!!

Jill and I have volunteered for AMA District 29 for over 10 years and that time has come to an end, unfortunately. We appreciate all of the promoters, families, racers, crews, vendors & sponsors throughout the years. It’s truly been a pleasure to give what we could and help organize racing in the Carolina’s. We will continue to promote races in the Southeast, run our Kenda Tire Winter Series, help out at tracks that need us and promote a full schedule here at NC Motorsports Park. So, going forward you will not be required to purchase a D29 membership to race AMA races inside North & South Carolina and our former District website will be used to promote AMA racing in NC & VA and the D13 schedule. Never hesitate to reach out with any questions or advice needed.

We would like to take a moment to thank those who came before us and laid the groundwork for what once was the greatest AMA District in the nation. First and foremost, Ken & Judy Cameron from Devils Ridge MX. They built one of the first tracks in the District, built the District and the NC Harescramble Association. Ken was the original pioneer of MX Racing in the Carolinas and is missed dearly today. Shep & Peggy Langdon gave more than 25 years of volunteer commitment to AMA District 29. They did it all…from the schedules, rule changes, points, race promoting, & year-end banquets. They are also original pioneers of Southeast MX and their efforts will never be forgotten!!

So, in closing, thank you ALL for the opportunity to represent you and watch your families grow at the track. We look forward to seeing you at the races & NCMP!! – Mark & Jill Czysz
