The New District 29 – 2011

Hello, to all District 29 riders, family members, associates, and sponsors.  It has been a difficult few years for everyone in the nation; our local racing community is no exception.  During these trying times, we have fallen short in many areas to serve our riders properly.  We, the D29 Promoters, Board of Directors, and the Motocross Committee members have made a vow this year to rebuild a district club that was once one of the most recognized and respected in the nation.

We kicked off the 2011 year with a our D29 awards presentation and free ride day for all D29 members at Windy Hill Sports on Sunday, Jan.16th.  The number of riders  (117) was great and the number of people was approximately 150.  We had close to 80  riders join as new D29 members  and gave out awards to 67 riders with 20 of those riders receiving a Free Ride Card for their championships.

Also during the awards presentation, Shep and Peggy Langdon were recognized for their many years of volunteer commitment to D29.  This was a sad time for most and the Langdon’s were given a big round of applause by all present.  They were presented a lifetime gate pass to join us at the D29 races.  We do hope they will come join us as much as they can.

In the spirit of moving forward, we will only look back to see how we can learn from our mistakes, but more so, concentrate on looking forward to a bright future for the new District 29.

Thank You!

Mark Czysz (chez), D29 MX Committee Chairman

Joe Ussery, President of District 29
